Mini Golf Adventures in NYC: A Rainy Day Turned Perfect Date
Sometimes in life, we luck out with PERFECT timing for an activity. This Saturday, it rained nearly all day. As soon as the rain stopped, we made a bet…well two, actually. We decided we were going to attempt an outdoor activity and gasp NOT take an umbrella with us on the journey to get there. As Jaime said, "high risk, high reward." What was the reward here…I guess not carrying an umbrella? But regardless, the pieces fell into place when we journeyed to Mini Golf…
We visited Putting Green in Brooklyn, a project that combines the joy of mini golf with a sustainable twist. The 18-hole course is designed with recycled and repurposed materials, showcasing creativity and environmental responsibility. As you navigate the holes, you'll notice the clever use of reclaimed items, adding a delightful touch to each obstacle.
At each hole, we encountered information boards that highlighted the materials and principles behind the eco-friendly design. It was educational and inspiring to see how creativity and environmental consciousness could come together for a fun and informative experience.
Because it had been raining all day, the icing on the cake was that the course was not busy at all. The rain had cleared the usual crowds, giving us the chance to enjoy a leisurely game without any rush.
Putting Green is usually open summer through early fall.
However, don't fret if you miss this opportunity, because mini golf is a fun date activity all year round. Check out these different places in NYC:
